Vito A Sagliano, husband, father, retired US Navy’s Seabee, prior small business owner, humanitarian.

With a simple view in life his intent is to leave each day, and person a little better off than how it started. This goal was started serving this nation, through her armed forces as a United States Navy Seabee. During his military career he earned a variety of honors and accolades in response to military operations, ranging from direct war efforts, to the humanitarian relief both home and abroad assuring those at home can sleep at night knowing that him and others like him stood guard. This unique view gave him a direct insight into the world of policies, and politics that affected his neighbors to those a world away. Being a man of honor, and of his word he used his leadership roles as a chance to not only streamline the varied command platforms cutting cost to the Department of Defense, but in bettering the lives of those who served under him on both a professional and personal level.

This view not only carried through a military career but through community involvement volunteering for a variety of causes. Ranging across many causes from humanitarian assistance such as Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross, community and church foodbanks, community outreach programs, historical societies to preserve our history for future generations, and directly through his trade.

Through this trade as a steelworker, welding, variety of construction techniques, and his direct role as operations. He became the source of information as a subject matter expert, and articulated that knowledge in a positive manner giving a new start for manner looking for a career outside the military becoming a proven asset upon entering the workforce.

The skills, experience, knowledge and personal drive lead to the creation of a private small business VAS Technologies in 2012. Upon the end of his service to the nation, the decisions had to be made for what was best for his family, being his wife remained in Tennessee to maintain their family home, a small business in West Knoxville of her own while he continued to serve. In 2016, they came to the decision it was the right time to close the doors of VAS Technologies as he came home, back in Tennessee. Since being back home, he has assisted his wife with her business, but primarily spent time relaxing and enjoying a normal family life, with those he left years ago to serve his nation.
